Designed
and built for Rexam Glass, Barnsley, this is one of four mould pre-heat ovens
operating adjacent to the automatic mould production lines.
The
ovens operate up to 550°C, fuelled by electricity. The design
incorporates loading lugs for Rexam's standard mould pallets. With a mild
steel, all-welded box section construction and internal loading protection,
construction is for an industrial environment operating 24 hours a day, seven
days a week.
In
addition to these four mould pre-heat ovens, Rexam also have a mould
stress-relieving oven operating up to 850°C, and a mould coat-curing oven,
making a total of six high-temperature box ovens supplied by Caltherm in as many years.
