PROBLEM: Previously, Silvertown pre-heated moulds using a steam hot plate and insulated cover. This did not produce uniform heating, nor a sufficiently high temperature. Neither could it keep pace with the production rate. Down-time was high as the mould machine had to raise the mould to operating temperature before production could commence. This was a slow process, and expensive as the mould machine was also using electricity to heat the moulds.

SOLUTION: Installing this gas-fired oven with roller bed loading table enables Silvertown to pre-heat the mould just above the operating temperature of the mould machine. Whilst the mould is being installed on the mould machine, the temperature drops to operating temperature and production starts immediately.

The oven is gas-fired, further reducing operating costs.
