Principally UK based and operating in the
UK, the US and Europe, RTS' three core businesses design and
develop technology and solutions in automation, software and
robotics.
RTS has developed a new
robotic line under contract to 3DM, which will own any new
Intellectual Property generated through RTS’ work.
Known as the
PIM process,
it is important that potential 3DM customers for smaller
products have access to machines with faster production cycle
times than is currently possible with the existing
semi-automatic and large scale hydraulic machines. In
particular, robotic lines will enable the exploitation of the
PIM process more swiftly in the building and construction
industries, which are major target markets for 3DM |

Above are the mould preheating ovens assembled from seven
independent gas fired modules. Each module was tested at
Caltherm before delivery to site. Each end module includes a
powered vertical door tested at Caltherm and shipped to site on
the end modules.
On site the conveyors were
installed through the completed oven.
On the left are four of
the five curing ovens, in the background are the six cooling
stations.
Each pre-heat and cure module
has its own fan, burner and control panel, the entire plant is
synchronised by a PLC system. |
