OVENS, DRYERS AND COOLERS ON A
CONVEYOR SYSTEM enable a fully automated, continuous process which
facilitates speedier production. Caltherm work closely with the
client to identify the most appropriate and efficient system for their
particular application, paying particular attention to energy
efficiency. Fully automatic pneumatic doors, programmable variable
speed drive, and intelligent systems controllers and data acquisition
systems are all options to ensure consistent quality and effective
treatment. A multiple process is possible on a single line to
incorporate, for example, pre-heating, heating/curing/drying and
cooling. Caltherm also supply equipment to be integrated as part
of multiple production line processes.

belt-feed ovens previously supplied by Caltherm. Click on any

RE-CIRCULATING AIR
PRE-HEAT, CURING OVENS and INTEGRAL COOLER for a French production
facility. This complete
system:
|
-
Preheats cores ready for windings and
resins to be inserted
-
After this the complete armatures
pass through the curing tunnel
-
Finally they travel through the
cooler to produce a finished product
-
A gravity conveyor on the outlet
allows accumulation
-
Sensors on the outlets alarm if
product is not removed
-
The conveyor systems are standard
honeycomb mesh belt with tensioners and invertor control

INDUSTRIAL CONVEYOR COOLERS FOR
AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS designed and built
for Federal Mogul, these were manufactured to Caltherm's usual tough, robust industrial
specification.
The equipment has been installed at the end of a brake-pad curing line recently
moved from a Federal Mogul factory in the United States to a UK facility of
theirs at Chapel-en-le-Frith. Caltherm constructed their coolers to align
with the existing production equipment.
On site, the coolers use input air from
outside the factory, and direct the warmed air back to atmosphere.

GAS FIRED CONVEYOR DRYER is used for the final process of Bibby's laboratory glassware
before it is packed for outward delivery. This unit
was designed by Caltherm to dry the product after a final washing. It
replaces an obsolete machine that not only made the glassware too hot for
handling, but failed to dry the product. Caltherm's equipment uses forced air
movement to efficiently remove all the moisture from the product at lower
temperatures. |

LONG CONVEYOR FOR THREE PART PROCESS
Electrolytic Plating
specialise in metal finishing and anti-corrosion treatments for the leisure,
automotive and white goods industries. They needed to
increase production for their Delta range of high performance
coatings and required a professional oven with an integrated and robust conveyor belt; they came to Caltherm.
The oven, which is in three sections,
'flashes-off', cures at up to
300ºC, and cools components after they have been through the STC dip-spin
plant for coating. The overall dimensions
of the oven are approximately 20m long by nearly 3m wide.

SHRINK WRAPPING CONVEYOR for Cova
Products (a specialist laminate manufacturer). A fully automated
system to replace a manual process, this gas-fired single-button
operation achieves a consistent result, incorporates a weighing
platform, and accepts pallets of any dimensions up to 1200 x 1200 x 1800
long. |
