is a technology business that designs and manufactures marine turbines to
generate renewable energy from tidal streams. The company's vision is to
deploy farms of tidal turbines under the world's oceans - silently and
invisibly generating electricity at no cost to the environment. Through this
innovative technology, OpenHydro extracts energy from the oceans in an
economically viable and environmentally sensitive manner.
In order to cure very large composite structures,
Openhydro have ordered four of Caltherm's Mobile Heat Sources. These
are the closest Caltherm have to a standard product, although they do vary in
output capacities and options. They are mobile fan, heating
chamber and control system are used extensively in the composite development
industry to heat temporary insulated structures for component curing. |

HS Marston provides a wide
range of heat transfer and fluids management products and services for the military and commercial markets, motorsport and electronics industries.
HS Marston currently sub-contract heat-treatment, so critical to their
aerospace customers, which creates excess work-in-progress, quality issues
and management time. To counter this they have ordered an automated
drop-quench oven and water quench tank and two simpler box ovens. All
three will operate to the Nadcap standard, used throughout
the aerospace industry, for ovens - AMS2750D.

As one of the aerospace
industry’s leading independent suppliers of composite structures, GKN
Aerospace supports customers in developing new applications for lightweight
composite materials to help reduce emissions and advance efficiency and
performance. A key focus for GKN Aerospace as a First Tier design and
build partner is to refine conventional production techniques and define new
automated and repeatable manufacturing processes. The methodologies are
designed to deliver high-quality composite components which achieve rigorous
consistency levels (including very large and complex structures)
GKN have ordered a composite
post-cure oven to operate alongside their existing autoclave. At 4m x
4m x 2m high this oven will operate to the Nadcap standard, used throughout
the aerospace industry, for ovens - AMS2750D. |
