Rolls-Royce is a global business providing integrated
power systems for use on land, at sea and in the air. Their core
business area are Civil aerospace, defence aerospace, marine and nuclear.
Rolls Royce's Annersley site
ordered an engine shaft heat treatment oven from Caltherm in 2005.
Since then production has increased and techniques have changed, so Caltherm
have received an order to replace the oven. The oven
will operate to the Nadcap standard, used throughout
the aerospace industry, for ovens - AMS2750D. |

HS Marston provides a wide
range of heat transfer and fluids management products and services for the military and commercial markets, motorsport and electronics industries.
HS Marston currently sub-contract heat-treatment, so critical to their
aerospace customers, which creates excess work-in-progress, quality issues
and management time. To counter this they have ordered an automated
drop-quench oven and water quench tank and two simpler box ovens. All
three will operate to the Nadcap standard, used throughout
the aerospace industry, for ovens - AMS2750D.

The Plasticraft Process Plant
Technology Group has manufactured electroplating and surface treatment
equipment for over 40 years, from manual plants to sophisticated computer
controlled automatic installations. They complete project management
worldwide from green-field sites to a full turnkey installation.
Plasticraft supplied a Caltherm well (or top-loading)
dryer to BAE Systems in Brough in 2008. This is an exact replica of
this first dryer to further improve their finishing area drying facilities.

As one of the aerospace
industry’s leading independent suppliers of composite structures, GKN
Aerospace supports customers in developing new applications for lightweight
composite materials to help reduce emissions and advance efficiency and
performance. A key focus for GKN Aerospace as a First Tier design and
build partner is to refine conventional production techniques and define new
automated and repeatable manufacturing processes. The methodologies are
designed to deliver high-quality composite components which achieve rigorous
consistency levels (including very large and complex structures)
GKN have ordered a composite
post-cure oven to operate alongside their existing autoclave. At 4m x
4m x 2m high this oven will operate to the Nadcap standard, used throughout
the aerospace industry, for ovens - AMS2750D. |

HMS Sultan is the home of Royal Naval School of
Marine Engineering (RNSME) and the Royal Naval Air Engineering and Survival
School (RNAESS) whose primary function is to supply the Fleet with
engineering Officers and Ratings of the highest quality.
To train the best you need the best equipment; HMS
Sultan have ordered an exact replica of a heat treatment furnace supplied by
Caltherm last year. This second electric oven, with pneumatic vertical
door, is designed to fit an existing quench tank, replacing the old gas
fired equipment that needs expensive specialist maintenance knowledge.

equipment for over 40 years, from manual plants to sophisticated computer
controlled automatic installations. They complete project management
worldwide from green-field sites to a full turnkey installation.
Like Caltherm, Plasticraft are a major supplier to
Rolls Royce Aerospace. Plasticraft have won an order to supply two NDT
(Non Destructive Test) lines to Rolls Royce Aerospace's new facility in
Singapore. Caltherm are supplying top-loading dryers (to AMS2750D) and
corresponding dust-storm units for Plasticraft to integrate in to their
whole plant supply. |
