CAD Design Engineer and Draughtsperson 

 

Caltherm are recruiting for a CAD Design Engineer and Draughtsperson. Demand for our range of industrial processing plant has resulted in additional help being required in an existing drawing office of high calibre mechanical engineers.

 

 

Industrial Qualifications required.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D is essential

An understanding of construction techniques and fabrication process

Experience in drawing light/medium weight structural steel frameworks

Knowledge of air movement systems incorporating ductowork and plenums

 

The Job Responsibilities.

 

Conceptual design of thermal processing plant

Design and drawing steel frameworks for ovens, dryers and furnaces

Laying out product handling systems through flat bed conveyor ovens up to 650°C

Providing fabrication drawings for workshop use, including cutting lists

Sales drawings to go with tenders

 

The Job Package.

 

Permanet full time employment

25 days holiday and 8 Bank Holidays annually

Company Pensions Scheme

Based in Newcastle, Staffordshire

39 Hours per week, flexitime

 

The salary will be negotiable but will reflect the importance of the role.

Industrial Commissioing/Servicing Engineer

 

An exciting position has become available for a full-time Industrial Commissioning/Servicing Engineer.

 

Previous Experience

 

Industrial gas burners & control systems

Electrical control circuits

Trouble-shooting industrial electrical systems

Hydraulic & Pneumatic equipment and controls

Motor drives

Computer literate

 

    Job Requirements

 

Trouble shooting on thermal processing plant. 

Identifying process problems and rectifying faults. 

Servicing Ovens, Dryer's and Furnaces. 

Working on own initiative to solve problems. 

Read wiring diagrams and identify faults. 

Occasional overseas visits required. 

Overnight stays required within the UK.
